Child Trends Data Bank. This website uses a range of research and sources to provide current statistics and trends in child health and well-being status.


The Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative. This site has a database of measurement tools and strategies to assess and study the quality of care provided to children and adolescents. It covers a range of topics, including delivery screenings, preventive services, and teen specific surveys.


The Commonwealth Fund State Scorecard on Child Health System Performance, 2011. This shows each state’s performance on 20 different indicators of children’s health care access, affordability of care, prevention and treatment, and health system equity.


Data Resource Center for Child & Adolescent Health. This contains archives of state and national surveys, like the National Survey of Children’s Health (NSCH) and National Survey of Children with Special Health Care Needs, and can chart risk factors by a number of different indicators.


Forum on Child and Family Statistics. America’s Children in Brief: Key National Indicators of Well-Being, 2010. (Childstats.gov)This report and website tracks the well-being indicators of children and adolescents, as well as their families. It is supported a collaboration of numerous federal agencies, and has a number of data sources and studies.

The National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health (Add Health). This study of a nationally representative sample of adolescents in 7-12 grades began in 1994 and has tracked their health status, social, economic, psychological, and physical well-being with contextual data to understand determinants of health from adolescent years into adulthood.
