Bio-Med Central (BMC) International Health and Human Rights
BioMed Central is an independent publishing house that provides free access to peer-reviewed biomedical research.  The International Health and Human Rights division publishes original research articles in health care in developing and transitional countries, and all issues relating to health and human rights.

Government Printing Office Access
The US Government Printing Office (GPO) disseminates official information from all three branches of the Federal Government.  Links to other governmental sites or databases as well as direct database of current materials from Congress or the Supreme Court are cataloged alphabetically or by branch.

Google/Scholar
This Google search engine can be searched for peer-reviewed literature.

LEXIS-NEXIS
Lexis-Nexis is a searchable database of news stories, legal briefs and citations, public records and business information in online, print of CD-ROM formats.  Use of Lexis-Nexis database requires a paid subscription.

Library of Congress
The Library of Congress (LOC) serves as the national library of the United States government.  The Library houses all documents and legislation released in the U.S. Congress.  Online, the LOC provides abstracts of its holdings.

Population Index on the Web
Population Index contains an annotated bibliography of recently published books, journal articles, working papers, and other materials on population topics.  This website provides a searchable and browsable database of demographic literature published in Population Index in the period 1986-2000

PubMed
PubMed, a free service of the National Library of Medicine, includes over 15 million citations for a wide range of biomedical and health policy articles dating back to the 1950's.  Users can search for citations in MEDLINE, which contains abstracts of many articles as well as some links to sites providing full text articles.

Science.gov
Science.gov is a search engine of selected research articles, special reports, and databases produced by the federal government.  Through this site, visitors can search for information across a broad array of federal agencies and government divisions.
