Biography

Linda Elam is a Principal Policy Analyst with the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured.  A major initiative of the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured serves as a policy institute and forum for analyzing health care coverage and access for the low-income population and assessing options for reform.   Dr. Elam uses her health sciences, industry and health policy background in her work for the Commission, focusing on health care access with an emphasis on prescription drug policy.  She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University, her Master’s of Public Health degree in health policy and management from the University of California at Berkeley and her Ph.D. in health policy and management from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
